The hotel Antiche Mura Sorrento is located in the historical center of the city and is minutes away from fantastic shopping, great restaurants and the Marina Piccola.
The hotel was originally built in the ‘Belle Epoque’ style, in the 19th Century and has been completely refurbished, offering stylish accommodation within charming surrounds. The hotel itself is an impressive building in the central square and gains its name from the old city walls which are still visible within the grounds.
The main entrance hall is light and airy, whilst retaining a grand atmosphere of a large villa. There are plenty of peaceful places to sit both inside and outside and the beautiful garden with its shady lemon groves has a lovely pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after a busy day’s sightseeing. The 46 bedrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished and many have balconies or terraces looking out over the ancient ‘Valley of the Mills’ – a naturally formed deep valley behind the central square.
The hotel serves a hearty buffet breakfast and although there is no restaurant, there is a snack bar on the grounds which serves salads and simple dishes throughout the day. Alternatively, there are numerous trattorias and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff are very helpful and friendly and can arrange numerous excursions and mini cruises to nearby attractions. With family accommodation also available, the hotel welcomes all ages of guests.
